Jack saw Dr. Bingham today for his 9 month appointment. As of today, Jack is 29 inches long (73rd%) and 20.2 pounds (40th%). I actually had quite a few questions this time AND remembered them!
He needs to start using a sippy cup. By the time he's one he should not be using a bottle. We've got quite a bit of work to so here considering he doesn't even hold his own bottle right now.
He can have juice (1/2 water 1/2 juice)
He needs to be eating more finger foods; eggs, cooked veggies, pasta. By one he should be eating only table foods. Also more work to do. I haven't even started the baby food meats and haven't finished all of the fruits/desserts yet.
We should "brush" his teeth with a washcloth before bed.
No shoes, he needs his toes to balance for walking.
We should try to keep him rear-facing as long as possible (after then 1 year, 20 lb rule.) New study shows it's best to keep them rear-facing until they are two. Easier said than done, right, Jenn!

Oh goodness, don't they make you feel like you've got ALL this stuff to do (and no time to do it?!?) If it makes you feel any better, Sean NEVER held his own bottle. He did great witht he sippy cup and wouldn't LET you hold it, but not the bottle!!! Oh, and this mama had a hard time giving up the night time bottle. Sean did fine once we did stop - Mommy, not so much (and he was 14 months).
And yes, the rear facing thing... YIKES! Don't they know you cannot rationalize with a kiddo that little!!! :-)
He's growing up - what a cutie!
Wow I would have never guessed that Hudson was only 2 inches taller and 2 1/2 pounds more than Jack, he seemed like a lot more when they were together!! =)
