Sleep, what is that?

Poor Jack has a stuffy nose. It doesn't seem to bother him much during the day, however bedtime is a whole other story. He'll sleep an hour or two then wake up crying because he can't breathe. So, since Christmas night, Tim and I have gotten less sleep than we did when Jack was a newborn :). We've hooked up a vaporizer, rubbed baby Vaporub on his chest and elevated his mattress. He did pretty good Sunday night, but had another bad night last night. I ended up sleeping with him in the guest room. Tim fixed him a little bottle and that helped him get back to sleep. We are going on day six, so hopefully his stuffy nose will be cleared up soon so he (and we) can get a good night's sleep!

Have you tried letting him sleep in his swing? Both my girls sleep (well, not Emma anymore, lol) in the swing when they're not feeling well/fussy and it always works. In fact, Mackenzie is still sleeping in her swing at times (she'll be 14 months Thursday) b/c she's such a peanut she still fits. It's been great because she doesn't teethe well and we've had a lot of rough nights. I know many people will probably advise against it, but we've had no lasting negative repercussions from it with Emma and Mackenzie goes to sleep just fine in her crib, so for us it's worked. Good luck!
